The 2010 Starry, Starry Night auction is Saturday, March 20th at 6:00 p.m. at the Athens Country Club. Arizona artist Jay Scott has donated the "Tree of Life," a gorgeous 25"X37" treasure of which the artist says:
"This contemporary painting depicts a large tree and children climbing, resting, reading, and playing among each other. In my eyes, our children are truly our future. Like a tree, without caring for them they will not flourish. Children who are happy, playful, and filled with the joy of just being a kid will eventually branch out to the world. They will be given the opportunities to make the world a better place. Thanks to organizations such as yours, you are truly allowing the children in this world to grow in much better light. The color in this painting depicts the bright and happy future we hope to instill in each child that benefits from this cause. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to use my own God-given talents to aid in that cause."
